Free medical screenings in Watsonville to veterans

Supervisor Campos is pleased to announce that beginning Friday, July 13, 2007 Dr. Ian Tong will be conducting medical screening’s in Watsonville to veterans. Currently veterans must travel to Santa Cruz for this service and through the collaboration between the city of Watsonville, the Santa Cruz County Human Resources Agency, the Watsonville Veterans Services and Supervisor Campos, this will now be offered in Watsonville.
Dr. Tong will be conducting medical screenings, assessments, and evaluations for recommendations to a VA specialists. No medical procedure will take place in the Watsonville office. The following is a list of dates Dr. Tong will be in Watsonville. It is important to note that his visits will be on a trial basis, should the program proof successful, a recommendation to make the visits will be made.

Dr. Tong will see veterans from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. They may schedule an appointment or walk-in without one. For more information anyone interested may call the Watsonville Veteran’s office at (831) 763-4419.
